music: Sprint Hold Music

This is a brief photo journal of things I did today while waiting on hold for Sprint Customer Care.

Thanks to the power of my Sprint camera phone, I can get a lot more done while waiting on hold.

With its multitasking ability, I can be on hold using the speakerphone and take pictures at the same time.

Here are some of the things I got done while waiting on hold.

Grocery Shopping

I did some grocery shopping.

I walked to the grocery store, browsed for a while, got my groceries and then walked home.

I cleaned the range.

Those new Arm and Hammer Magic Erasers are great on tough, cooked on stains.

I watched Mythbusters.

Those guys will go to any extreme to blow something up.

I updated my budget spreadsheet.

Got to keep tabs on all my debits and credits.

I cleaned out the cat box.

My kitty was so pleased that she had to take a dump right away.

I also wrote this journal entry and uploaded all of the photos from my phone, all while waiting on hold for Sprint Customer Care.

I feel very productive.

Well, it's 9pm and my call has been dropped.

I guess I'll have to try calling back during normal business hours.

Thanks for a lovely evening, Sprint!

It's not Sprint that sucks, it's the hold times.

I love their service; I've never had a problem with any of their equipment or services, I just wanted instructions on how to setup my email (which didn't come with my phone).

I dropped my Sprint contract because of the poor customer service. I signed up for Verizon, had an issue with the first invoice and called them. Customer Service listened to my complaint, apologized, gave me credit that was due and then double checked to see if I had any other questions.

Goes to show not all wireless carriers have forgotten about customer service.

Nah, I definitely had problems with their support. I had a 2-month saga in which they refused to refund me because I canceled their service within 30 days (in California it's 30 days, not 14 or 15 or whatever). Finally I got almost all of it back, but still had to pay too much. I need to post a webpage of all the transactions I had with them...

The kicker was when I got mail advertisements from them (after canceling service). I called to have myself removed from their mailing list. I first got transfered three times because no one knew who would be the right person to remove me from the list. Then they couldn't find me in their computer. How the mail got to my door, I don't know. That was a good hour wasted on the phone with them.

The hold times are probably so long because they have too many support requests. =)

See, that's why I'm glad I went T-Mobile. They have been the only carrier I have ever used outside of any other service whatever company I am working for at the moment gives me to carry as a useless appendage on a Batman-style belt. Nine times out of ten I ended up whipping out MY personal phone to make a business call because of bad service, lousy reception, or lack of service altogether. I've had the following (from most recent to first attained) Nextel (MA), Sprint (CA), Cingular(CA). Compared to the customer service and the carrier quality, no way am I giving up my big red T service. It would be nice, however, if the service came with my own personal Catherine Zeta. *sigh* I'll just have to put up with the excellent service sans pretty face.

I appreciate Sprint for their:

-Quality of service
-Widest coverage area of any carrier
-Free digital roaming with data cards
-Selection of handsets and data cards
-Subtle and stylish corporate branding

Once again I think their customer service sucks, but everything else is top shelf.

I won't go into the details of my saga with Sprint, but I will give you all a few of the highlights:

- "Yes ma'am, we'll turn your husband's phone back on right away. We apologize that we misunderstood the charges. Here's a code to prove you did make a payment in case you have any problems."
- Next Day: "No, ma'am, we have no record of you making a payment yesterday. That code is invalid. You will NEVER be charged for that."
- Two Days Later: "Ma'am, we do not believe that you were charged for that. You must FAX your bank statement to us for us to credit you." Me: "I can e-mail you a screenshot right now, my husband is in Florida and I need to call him." Them: "We only accept faxes."
- Four Days Later: "This is an automated message from Sprint. We have clarified the issue and payment has been applied. Phone will be turned on in approximately 4 hours."
- Five Days Later: "I apologize, but the amount paid was not sufficient. You have been assessed a $150 early termination fee." Me: "No. This whole thing, including the downtime in the first place, has been because of an error on your part." Them: "We will remove the late fee, he will be turned back on in 1 to 4 hours."
- Six Days Later: "This automated message from Sprint is to let you know that your service will be reinstated after a (different voice) $150 payment is received. Thank you for choosing Sprint."

At this point, I called, spoke with a "supervisor" and was told "I feel for you, but I don't care, and there is nothing we will do at this point" (direct quote). After almost 10 hours of my life that Sprint stole from me, as well as service, I will NEVER use them again and will continue to post this story in anything I see about Sprint customer service. NEVER USE SPRINT!!!!

Also there customers are so illiterat basic bill reading 101 and common sense is my issue resolutuion

Sprint Hold Song

I noticed that the music you were listening to was the Sprint hold music. Every time I call, it's the same 80's song. It sounds like a Tears For Fears song, but it's not and it's just an instrumental version. I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out this song! Do you know it??
